About the development

Boro Tower, co-developed by Rockefeller Group and The Meridian Group, is a 437,000-square-foot Class-A office building located at 8350 Broad Street in Tysons, Virginia.  Completed in 2019 and designed by Gensler, the 20-story tower is a prominent feature of The Boro, a 15-acre transit-oriented mixed-use development adjacent to the Greensboro Metro station.  

Situated on “The Hill,” the highest elevation in Fairfax County, Boro Tower offers panoramic views from the Blue Ridge Mountains to downtown Washington, D.C.  The building’s design features a shimmering glass curtain wall accented by modern, white-glazed terra cotta, and has achieved LEED Gold certification.

About The Boro

Boro Tower provides tenants with 9- to 10-foot finished ceiling heights and efficient floor plates that maximize daylight and views.  Amenities include a rooftop terrace, a spacious lobby, a fitness center, locker rooms, bicycle storage, and parking.  The building also features 10,000 square feet of lobby-level retail space.  

Major tenants at Boro Tower include KPMG, TEGNA, Hogan Lovells, Womble Bond Dickinson, and Alion Science and Technology.   

This project marked Rockefeller Group’s inaugural development in the greater Washington, D.C. region, following successful investments downtown, including 1100 First Street and 1101 K Street in partnership with Mitsubishi Estate New York.
